You can’t see the camera from the front
Try the Sigma APO 300-800mm F5.6 EX DG HSM – Huahahahahahah
LOL!
It’s very cool that they included some of the Voigtländer lenses. I’m very interested in the 40/1.4, which unfortunately isn’t included. But it is virtually identical to the 35/1.4, which is included and looks really good on the E-P1.
Agent00soul, do you have any experience using the 40/1.4? I’ve been browsing through lenses that I could get and that seems to be near the perfect lens for chasing my kids around. I’m a little worried about the manual focus, but it has to be better than my current setup where I use spot focus and try to guess where they are going to be, pre-focus and try to click at the right time
I really like using F2 and F2.8 on my 5050, andI think 5.6 at the telephoto end of the kit lens is going to be too restrictive for indoor kid chasing.
This is great!
Traciatim: No, I haven’t used it but I have a Konica Hexanon AR 40/1.8 that I have adapted for Fourthirds. I’m curious to know how sharp the Voigtländer 40 is wide open. The Konica isn’t sharp enough wide open, but very nice from f/2.8 and up. Manual focus on the E-3 works fairly well, but of course I haven’t tried the E-P1 yet. It’s probably not going to be ideal for moving subjects like kids.
I stuck on voigtlanders badly
even made wallpaper of ep1 with all included angles and lens of CV…
The 35mm 1.4 does look really great and matches the retro design. I thought about doing a wallpaper too. I suppose this would make the 17mm useless except for its small size?
Are you guys getting the zoom or the 17mm kit? I’m still wishy washy … probably which ever silver lens comes out first. The zoom seems to have good optical quality and would be versatile for outdoor shooting. Plus, I’m not that interested in spending extra for the optical viewfinder.
Well Agent, I’m thinking anything has to be faster/better than my 5050’s click manual focus. Since I’m stuck with that I usually end up spot focusing and trying to get the picture quick enough, or anticipating where they will be and spot focus on something of similar distance and half-shutter it. I’m thinking a manual ring has to be a step ahead of that.
Since I can’t really afford an E-P1 anyway though, I guess it’s all dreaming at this point. By the time I save up for it, the E-P2 and another Panasonic will probably be out, plus a few more lenses, so probably I should stop shopping and wait until I actually have money
