(FT3) HOT! Canon GIII EVIL system is coming now?
This is the analogue rangefinder from 1972.
Just received this message from one of my best sources! It is (FT3) only because not confirmed by a second source.
UPDATED: The source is the same that gave us the correct Ricoh GXR rumors. And he says that the Canon GIII Evil system is going to be announced soon. Canonrumors do not have any information about such a camera.
Please remember, this rumor hasn’t been confirmed yet by other sources and until them don’t give the news too much credit. We hope to know more soon!
Message to the source: Please tell us a little more
P.S.: And SonyAlphaRumors.com just started their countdown…

Interesting, I thought Sony will join the EVIL first, but they don’t.. If Canon join, I am pretty sure that Nikon will come out with their version too. Suddenly it become crowded.
Hopefully based on the 7D.

How is this a FOUR THIRDS or MICRO FOUR THIRDS rumour? I didn’t know Canon joined the FourThirds Consortium.
Dear Mike, we received the Canon rumor from one of our sources. And it talks about a Canon camera that is aimed to compete against MicroFourThirds. Should we close our eyes on what other companies are doing? In 8 months we wrote 973 posts and this is the first about Canon!
Hope you understand this.
Cheers
My Crackpot Theory
Remember every G11 rumor said it would have a bigger sensor. EVERY SINGLE ONE. what happened? the G11 came out and had the same size sensor and nobody said anything. is this what people were talking about. has canon been working on a camera, and printed G11 on it to throw off spies?! How did every source get the G11 sensor size wrong?
I know this is not a Canon site, but this is interesting news about the market that Micro 4/3 started.
What’s your crackpot theory?
didn’t quite get what you mean Forester, do you mean the larger sensor which didn’t come in the G11, is coming in the camera described in this rumor?! me thinks that if canon is going ever to do mirrorless interchangeable (both together in 1 camera), it’ll take some time no less thanthe 2 years it took them to come up with an answer to the D300. especially that we are taking about a new system that can’t be changed once intoduced, so my guess is that they will be thinking long and hard about what sensor size, what kind of AF, how much compatibility they can make it with existing EF/EFS lenses. and this is presuming they reach a conclusion that the Rebel line and high end compacts are not enough as an answer to m3/4. remember they tried to answer D300 with the 50D, if that worked, we wouldn’t have seen a 7D.
This is the most idiotic worthless thing that I’ve read in a long time. Even as a rumor, it’s stupid.
The camera I would like to buy would have a 4/3 CMOS sensor, a fixed zoom lens of f2/8 – 5.6, 10x, articulated monitor and a sharp EVF. Why
don’t they make one?
CANONデジタルカメラ事業から撤退を表明。
The camera I would like is same size sensor as on a DSLR, interchangeable lenses, and a good (i.e., must be _sharp_) electronic viewfinder. No mirror and no pentaprism, needless to say.
