It’s written in Chinese not Japanese.

The zoom looks very compact. I just hope that we can get the E-P1 in black.

  4. Nicolas says:

    Here is the google translation.

  5. Jón says:

Could this photo BE any smaller? Leaks, yeah right…

  6. marcram says:

Looks like a solid camera! Yeah, what is up with the tiny, bad views, highly compressed photos. Either someone is photoshopping these and then hiding the flaws by compression or resolution reduction or Olympus wants to build up the hype without spoiling the surprise.

  7. Bu says:

The separate lens is much larger in this photo…

  8. Kyril says:

Here is the link to the original Japanese blog entry :

Any Japanese language gurus around here?

  9. Basil Gravanis says:

I think you mean “Chinese” friends… The page is in Chinese. Not that much juicy info there, though — aside from the photo. TruePic V processor, 12MP sensor, 720p HD video. Try running the page through Babelfish.yahoo.com.

  10. Rob-L says:

    I want one NOW! :-)

  11. davidk says:

Well, unless that viewfinder is a ridiculously priced “extra”, they will probably sell one of these to me after all.

  12. Benares says:

Looks and feels kinda fake to me. 1) The EVF looked like it’s popped out and judging from the design of the camera body, the body seemed kinda thin and tiny for that bulk to be hiddeb in it, which really looked suspicious to me. 2) The tiny image, it makes this piece of info even more doubtful. 3) TruePic V processor <- so they skipped Truepic IV naming convention totally [E30/E620 were using Truepic III+ processor]

  13. Ed says:

    Perhaps that’s the $900 kit?

  14. Wilf says:

I would love to translate it for you….but the original page seems to have disappeared! :(

  15. dsch2 says:

    Chinese here.
No more useful info than the bold font picked in the google translation.
It seems the article would be used in the official web or somewhere as the product ads.

  16. dsch2 says:

For original chinese article , you could refer to:

    There’s a copy.

  17. Rob says:

The black grip and silver body reminds of the Contax G. Maybe I do like this style a little more now. But still want black.

  18. forester says:

it looks better than I was worried about, but, style wise, it’s not a camera for the ages. I appreciate that Oly is doing this, but I’m still on the fence. I can’t wait for the unveil, and then being able to hold it in my hands. I do like how the zoom lens is very compact. I was worried about that. why have such a small camera and then a big lens like the G1 GH1. now… who ever makes the first fast prime lens will get my money.

  19. radneuerfinder says:

    Perfect!

I like to buy it with a set of fast, small lenses
