(FT5) Panasonic G2 and Panasconic G10 specs(FT5) Next Olympus MicroFourThirds camera is coming!
43rumors has learned that Olympus will announce at least one product on late October.
(FT4) Some of our sources believe that the next Olympus MicroFourThirds camera is going to be unveiled. The new Olympus MicroFourThirds camera will become a strong Panasonic GF1 competitor (and it will probably not become the Olympus counterpart). That means it will not have a grip, and probably have the same E-P1 design. The specs should be very close to the one seen in the . The viewfinder should be external (similar to the Panasonic DMW-LVF1E

We still don’t know if Olympus will announce more stuff (lenses or cameras). We are working on it…

I’ve nothing against MicroFourThirds, but… and I think I’m not alone, hope Olympus don’t forget the bige brother, and soon announce a new eXX and/or eX, 12, 14 or 15 MP why not, they have the technology and the glass, a bigger viewfinder; extended dynamic range, (like the e620 or better); high ISO perfomance; 3 inc LCD whith 920 000 dots, increase shutter speed, and at last but not least , 1080 filming mode.
Wake up, canon EOS 7D has already got all of that.
PS. I hope Oly reads this, there are many people tired of waiting and are considering changing to another brand.
I don’t fully understand your rumor announcement.
Is the FT5 for an announcement of an unknown camera (possibly E4/5) or is it for an m4/3. I guess I’ll have to wait with the rest of you to find out but if there is no E3 replacement then it’s bye bye Olympus.

Agree 100% with the first post.
The October announcement should at least mention the E-3 successor. Been waiting for a long time for a new, weather-sealed Oly with more AF points and improved ISO performance. A new µ43 cam is great, but not for everyone.
Built-in HDR? Fine. Video? Won’t hurt. Some new lenses? Wouldn’t mind a newer, faster 70-300mm with SWD installed myself…
Just don’t disappoint the faithful, Olympus.
I agree with dMS I have actually been saving for a new camera after my e520 doesn’t do what I need of it anymore. (Video being one thing, I make short movies too and having an extra camera with a nice sensor and glass makes for some fantastic shots.) So I have been looking at Canon’s 7D, The only reason I would probably stay with Oly is if their next eXX or eX had video comparable to the 7D. (which would mean to stay away from mpeg encoding or anything that requires a very high bitrate just to look nice.) This is just two cents from a Olympus user who is unsure of hearing about a new m4/3 camera and no remarks to pro stills or video.
