regarding the new Ricoh there’s speculation in german camera forums, about an APS-C sensor, perhaps in the bottom of the camera, with different optics that use specific parts of with, making up a camera that can have little zoom lenses attached, as well as big prime lenses. So the different focal length optics are calculated in context to different sensor sizes used. But nothings clear at the moment, the ones who know it better, keep the secret.

This email regarding Ricoh is strange at least.Either you have or you don’t an APS-c sensor in camera. And even more strange is to Ricoh to release an smaller sensor and the same zoom as the GX200.Why?…and how the guy can tell the camera won’t have the IQ to compete with m4/3? did he see any samples at all?

Unfortunately, specs alone won’t tell you how good the sensor is, how fast the AF is, how well built the camera is, etc. We’ve seen nicely-specced cameras from Pentax and Sigma emerge as slow, noisy cameras, and Samsung doesn’t have much experience with interchangeable lens cameras (aside from its Pentax clones) so I think we need to wait and see.

the spec for the Samsunug NX sounds truly amazing, and it’ll be not only be a competitor, but a higher class EVIL system than today’s mFT bodies, so it should be also more expensive and targeting the semipro-DSLR fotographer, who’s looking for a more compact and versatile solution.
