Where is the Olympus October 31st announcement. Oly is really starting to piss me off. Claims of new cameras for weeks and weeks and then they don’t even make an Oct 31st announcement. WTF.
The Olympus announcement will be next week not today. Anyway this is a rumor site and we do not publish official Olympus news. Olympus hasn’t any fault on this!
All the reports have been saying Oct 31st. Would they just get on with it. Everyone I have talked to says it will be a video equipped E3 or E5. Olympus, please just release it, I need to know. I have an E-510 with high-end glass and need to know if I should buy the E-30 or a new E3/E5. The wait is killing me. Maybe I should just switch over to Nikon. Poor PR by Olympus if you ask me. What do they think they are Apple now?
Focus on your needs: Will the E-30 do the job you need? if yes I would go for it. A E-5 will probably very expensive! P.s.: Why is the E-510 not enaugh for you?
Hey Jason, relax. Oct. 31 was just a rumor. You can’t bank on rumors being right all of the time. Who would believe an announcement would be made on a non-business day? You should have known that was BS from the start.

The E-510 does not have everything I need anymore (I will keep it as a backup). The E-30 has a better viewfinder, faster focusing, faster shutter, better sensor, spirit level, more robust body, better grip, more aspect ratios, live-view bracketing, bigger screen, articulating screen, etc….. But if a new Olympus comes out with HD video, a longer shutter life, and other extras then that is what I will get. I basically need to make a decision ASAP. Pretty soon I will just get the E-30, but if Olympus pops out a new E-3 a week after I get the E-30, then I will be pissed.

Jason, it’s the same with me, I have an E-410 and a few good glass too. I’m tired of a low DR, 1/4000 S, important features via menu, no dedicated buttons and SMALL view finder… I know E-30 and E-620 they do most of this work, but it’s obvious, a new Olympus body probably have HD video, more ISO range and 14, 15 MP too.

I’ld go with the E-3 if I were you, true wheater-sealed body, very, very rugged, a nice big viewfinder and if bought second hand it will come cheaper than a new E-30. It is a very capable camera. The october rumor didn’t make any sense from the start, olympus uses blue as corporate colour, not nikon yellow

Down Here In S’pore , There’s An Official Invitation To A News Conference ( Product Launch ? )On The 5th Of November….But That doesn’t Mean There Will Be New Cameras Or Lenses Unveiled. But Normally If They Invite Members of The Press and Oly Fans To A Seminar, It Means They May Be Something New, Like A Future Product Trend Or Launch…..So, Sit Tight and Let’s Hope For The Best!……. In The Meantime, Just Go Out And There and Ultilise What You Already Have and Take Some Pictures! Isn’t That’s What Photography Is All About?….Pictures!……..Will Let You Guys Know If Any New Stuff Comes About…….Thanks Uncle James.

Yeah the fact that there is a potential new camera, makes it hard to pay $900 or so for an E-30 body. Even if Oly said they had a new HD capable camera coming out in 6 months, then at least we could act accordingly. The fact that Olympus will not take any initiative is why I think Canon and Nikon have better PR. There new product plans are usually leaked out early and fairly accurate, this allows customers to make more informed purchase decisions. Still I prefer my Olympus, the results look great when published online. The fact that people know what is coming with some level of certainty on Canon and Nikon products, kind of makes Olympus look like it is second rate company in comparison.

I have considered the E3, but for some reason, including the conclusions at Dpreview, I think the newer E-30 produces slightly better results. And because I shoot a lot of macro, that needs cropping, I think the higher resolution will actually benefit the final crop results more than the E-3. Plus I like the E30 layout a little better. As far as second hand, I will not buy second hand, because what happens when the shutter breaks while using the camera at a show? Who knows how much the past user has used the camera’s limited shutter. My current camera has taken at least 50,000 pictures, so I would not want to be the recipient of this camera.

[...] 分类: 数码相机 E-P2配件以及小图样的谣言才出现没多久，马上又流出大张的。不过这张被判定是假的，因为就之前小图的判断来看，E-P2热靴似乎是比E-P1来得高。其实，还有其它辅助的观点可以参考。比如说，流出一张小图，但接着又流出看来一模一样的大图，照理说应该是要一模一样，但事实上仔细看的话，还是有些细节不同，很有可能是人家看到小图流出后，仿拍一张并后制所得（如果是这样的话，那拍张以及后制技术的人很强呀）但既然有人敢以E-P1来假装E-P2，这显示了E-P2与E-P1在外型上的差异并不大。如果E-P2没有采用新的感光组件，那实在看不出来E-P2之所以能够成为E-P2的原因。说起来，E-P2的说法，还真充满了矛盾。最早传言E-P2是具备电子观景窗，但现在看来又不是，小改的机会很高。可是若真是小改就可以称之为E-P2的话，那也未免太烂了吧（称「E-P1．改」倒是可以接受XD）。在数码相机发展上，小改的机种不是没有，但若敢称不同的型号或是所谓的后继机，就算外型没变，但核心也会有一定有变化，而且时间间隔也很少这么短的。真不知道现在搞这么大，是世纪大骗局还是真要出一台名不符实的E-P2？还是说真的会给我们惊喜（若真给我们惊喜的话，买E-P1的人应该会很呕吧）？但不管如何，再过几天我们就会知道结果了。 引用来源 | 此文章网址 | 转寄此文章 | 回应 [...]
