I was looking for a foreground for the terrific clouds over Ottawa Tuesday when I spotted this cruiser heading down the Rideau and decided it might be interesting to see if I could head it off at Vimy Bridge. I’ve never shot from that position, but got there in time for a few different exposures and framing. When I saw the swallow flash over the water as I pressed the shutter, I thought I might have a keeper. Olympus EM-5 with 14-150 zoom. ISO 200, 1/1000th sec, f5.6, 31 mm (62 mm equiv). Processed in Lightroom and Topaz Detail for clouds and architectural structure
