Olympus.ourlife.ru just posted a new E-5 review using a production unit. You can download a huge ammount of RAW files. It’s incredible how much detail Olympus was able to squeeze from the same PEN 12 Megapixel sensor. Don’t know if you can do any better than this!
The polish website Optyczne.pl just published a list of image and video samples on their website. The videos are availble for download! And they have fullsize image samples (JPG) from 160 up to 12.800 ISO. Also Dpreview posted a new Panasonic GH2 14mm and f/2.5 lens samples gallery!
PanasonicGH2 preorders:
You can preorder the GH2 at Amazon US but unlike BHphoto they don’t have the body only option :(
In Europe Amazon UK and Amazon France do accept preorders!
Our friend Steve Huff posted a new”Real World” Panasonic G2 review: “Panasonic has won me over with their [shoplink 14834]G2[/shoplink]. The camera is nice to hold, nice to shoot and looks much nicer in person than it does in the photos online.”
GiantGinko (dpreview forum) posted some image samples taken with the new 40mm f/1.6 Lensbaby for MicroFourThirds. The Lensbaby is currently in Stock at Amazon US (Click here!).
A week ago Tyson Robichaud posted a review of the new lens. The Lensbaby is not yet available in Europe.
Reminder: You can get the Arsat Tilt-shift lens with MicroFourThrids mount available now on [shoplink 16586]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink].
P.S.: Panasonic.net posted two image samples taken with the new Panasonic 100-300mm lens
Robin Wong (Click here to read) posted a new E-5 test. This time he tested the Low Light performance: “What I can tell you is that, there is a noticeable improvement. At ISO3200, the noise level was evident, but still the details are well maintained. Overall sharpness was very good too, but of course that was due to the presence of luminance noise all over. One good news is how the JPEG engine handles the chroma noise. Up to ISO3200, I almost did not detect (yet again, some people have super magnifying eyes that can spot pixels 6 feet away from the computer screen) any chroma noise. Even at ISO6400, the majority of the noise is luminance, and I do not mind much luminance noise, which was of course, again my preference.”
Amin Sabet from Seriouscompacts reviewed the new Panasonic LX5: “The bottom line here is that the LX5 sensor delivers a noticeable improvement compared to the LX3 and is roughly on par with the sensor from the S95 and EX1.“.
A Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 High ISO JPEG Noise preview has been made by Cameralabs. Oh, and one more short LX5 review at has been posted on Macworld!
Both LX5 (the white and the black camera) are in Stock at Amazon (Click here). Both discounted!
