According to trusted sources the launch of the new Schneider MFT lenses has been delayed by at least six months. The reason for this are the limited production capability. But don’t worry they will come for sure :)
One of the sources also told me that the lenses will cost less(!) than 1.500 Euro. As you know there will be three of them, the 14mm f/2.0 the 30mm f/1.4 and the Macro 60mm f/2.4.
All three lenses also have:
– Full electronic aperture control and autofocus.
– High-refractive lenses and special lens elements
– Internal focusing
– Very high resolution across the entire image area, even at full starting aperture
– High-quality aluminum casing, robust mechanics
– Hydrophobic coating of outer elements
– Protection against dust and splashing
By the way, a reader (Thanks!) sent me that size comparison with some existing MFT lenses. Click on it to see a large size version.
P.S: Some of the current Schneider lenses makes for other mounts. A couple of them would be welcome as a native MFT version!
