Olympus Q2 financial report released: Company doing great but the camera business not so…

Olympus released the latest Q2 financial report. As a whole the company is doing great. They write:

Record-high operating profit of ¥50.9billion in 1H. Profit significantly increased.

But the Imaging Division reported a -17% revenue drop:

Revenue declined due to difficult business environment in mirrorless cameras and lack of new products caused by the restructuring of production bases

The forecast for the Imaging Division remains negative:

There is no word on how Olympus plans to get back to profit…
