These are the E-Pl7 specs which nicely almost match those of the current E-M10 camera. Exact announcement date is still not clear. But I am pretty sure it’s coming very soon :)

The current LX7 with [shoplink 34270 ebay]Gariz case[/shoplink].
An anonymous source at MirrorlessRumors reported that:
Panasonic lx8 comming soon.On July 16!Build in EVF and bigger Sensor.looks similar to the lx7
I cannot confirm via trusted sources if the rumor I got is correct. Hope to have an answer soon. For now this is ranked FT2 only! But this would become a serious competitor of the newly announced Sony RX100M3 (specs here). This is the first compact camera with pop-up EVF. I also don’t know yet how large the new sensor could be. Doubt it will be as big as the 1 inch sensor in the Sony!
By the way, the current LX7 sells with $95 off at [shoplink 46356 ebay]BigValue (Click here)[/shoplink]. Total price is $305 only.

The rumors I got so far from trusted sources do not point to any more MFT camera announcement before Photokina other than the Olympus E-Pl7. It really looks like both Panasonic and Olympus are focusing their attention at Photokina in September.
That said I heard that both companies will announce some compact cameras within the next 1-2 months. Don’t know if that includes the rumored Olympus “TRIP-D“. It should be a digital fixed lens version of their popular [shoplink 35471 ebay]Olympus Trip 35 film cameras (on auction here on eBay)[/shoplink]. That would certainly be a hot camera release! Stay tuned!
I know you will call me crazy or fanboy but I seriously believe mirrorlesss cameras are the future. DSLR still have some clear advantages and one of them is known to be the faster autofocus performance. Today TheCameraStoreTV team posted this autofocus shootout video to see how close the latest generation mirrorless camera are compared to the king of sports photography, the $6,500 Nikon D4s. Chris tested the Fuji X-T1, Sony A6000, Olympus E-M1 and Panasonic GH4.
Well according to their tests the Panasonic GH4 autofocus performance is damn close to the Nikon which is a huge surprise in face of the massive price difference. Yes, the day will come when a Mirrorless camera (maybe a GH5?) will match the best DSLR autofocus.
