New GH4 video tests by Nick Driftwood and EosHD.

Panasonic GH4 24p C4K ‘Cine-D Profile’ Skintone Quickie test from Nick Driftwood on Vimeo.

We are seeing more and more GH4 tests! Nick Driftwood just uploaded this GH4 video on vimeo. It’s a first in a long series of tests. Nick recommends: “Please download the 4K file version for 4K representation as Vimeos transcoding and downsampling is pretty $%^&!” Follow the discussion at Personal View (It’s where Nick comments the GH4).

Panasonic GH1 4K vs 1080p and EOSHD shootout with other cameras from Andrew Reid on Vimeo.

And Andrew from EosHD posted the shootout video and the Gh4 simply delivers impressive video quality:

The 4K video output from the GH4 is easily a match for the 16MP stills. So we can say with certainty that this camera produces video ‘like moving stills’. That it does so for $1699 compared to $12,000 gives you an idea of how much Canon’s stronger brand is worth.

Quite amazing!

P.S.: The Gh4 preorders at Amazon are still good and the camera holds the position around place 22th (Click here to see full ranking).

(FT5) Olympus 40-150mm PRO coming at Photokina. The other two new PRO lenses will not :(

Share

.
I got the following info from two different sources: The new Olympus 40-150mm PRO zoom will certainly be released at Photokina in September. They also confirmed the 7-14mm f/2.8 and 300mm f/4.0 will not hit the stores this year. Olympus will certainly display them at Photokina but that’s it. You will have time til Spring 2015 to save the money for those two PRO lenses :)

One more thing: There will be surprises from Olympus at Photokina. But more about that soon on 43rumors…

What future Olympus PRO lens are you considering to buy?

Jared: https://www.google.com/maps/views/profile/117565688403001302622 Has some of the most spectacular panoramas I’ve seen. I was looking to see what equipment he uses and found some older panoramas with exif data still: https://plus.google.com/u/1/photos/117565688403001302622/albums/5947739153343402321/5947739152308789202?e This seems to use a 43rds olympus E-410 and the olympus 8mm f3.5 fisheye. Pretty stunning for not only a tiny sensor, but a really old sensor as well…Also, I see some newer panoramas mentioning olympus, so I think a lot of his panoramas are taken with 43rds gear.
