UPDATED: three little price drops: Olympus E-PL1, Panasonic 45mm and 45-200mm

UPDATE: The black Olympus E-PL1 now sells for $515 with the 14-42mm lens (click here to check the deal on amazon)

J&R (via amazon) is selling the Panasonic 45mm f/2.8 Lens for $809 (click here). That’s almost $60 less than the official Amazon, Bhphoto and Adorama price.

The Panasonic 45-200mm f/4.0-5.6 Lumix G Vario MEGA OIS Zoom is also in Stock on amazon for $289 (That’s $30 cheaper than a few days ago).

Let’s see if we will have more price drops soon when Panasonic and Olympus will announce the new stuff…

Few days ago we told you that at Photokina (September) Panasonic will finally release the 14mm f/2.5, 100-300mm and 1-2 new video lenses for the new MFT camcorder (The AG-AF100). Today two of our best sources told us that we should expect one more “exceptional” lens. A lens that was not one the Panasonic roadmap -> yes Panasonic cheated on us ;)
The sources didn’t reveal any details about the lens. But they said we don’t have to wait a long time to know it…

Just a reminder. Few weeks ago we received rumors from good sources saying that Panasonic was working on fast primes (faster than f/1.4). We don’t know if one of those fast primes could be announced now. There has been also a rumor saying that there could be a MicroFourThrids version of the current [shoplink 14959]Panasonic 25mm f/1.4 FourThirds lens[/shoplink].
