Image Sensors World just found the new Panasonic sensor roadmap! The most interesting graph is the one I posted above. Click on the image to see it at originial size.
But what is coming in 2012? A 20 Megapixel sensor! Don’t get too excited, this is just a roadmap and as pointed by the ISW Blog roadmaps can change…

The pdf is available for download here at http://www.semicon.panasonic.co.jp/en/catalog/cat/pdf/A00006NE.pdf (Yes it is an official Panasonic document!)

The preproduction G2 tested by quesabesde (image copyright by quesabesde)

Our friend Iker Morán just posted the new Panasonic G2 preview on Quesabesde (google english translation). They hade a pre-production model so things can change a little bit. They also have some image samples available for download and videos.

Interesting:
– There is a small pointer included! Didn’t know that.
– The 14-42 mm lens shows an excellent autofocus performance when recording video sequences

P.S.: No preorders are available on Amazon or BHphoto

Next price drop on the GF1. The Panasonic GF1 with 14-45mm Lens is in Stock for $730.00 on Amazon (click here)

Generally spoken I noticed that now Amazon BHphoto and Adorama do almost have every MicroFourThirds camera and lens in Stock. Most of the items do have the lowest price ever.
Like the Panasonic GH1 for example which now sells for less than $1,200 on amazon.Or the Olympus E-P2 with 14-42mm Lens and Electronic View Finder (less than $1,050)

And the most sold MicroFourThirds lens ever is also in Stock. Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 Lens for $399.95.
