No Panasonic leaks until now…is that the calm before the storm?

There is a fair chance to see some Panasonic news next week.

In the meanwhile I received many false rumors. It is false that the LX4(5) will have a Fuji sensor and it is false that it will be a MicroFourThirds camera or that it will have a built-in viewfinder.

If you know something contact us at 43rumors@gmail.com . We are trying to get all rumor pieces together!

(FT2) It is the Panasonic LX3 successor which you are going to see soon?

countdown_lx4

UPDATE: The main sources told us that he is not sure about the LX3 release…

We received the first rumors about the LX3 successor one month ago. At first we couldn’t believe it but now we got more and more confirmations. Panasonic will announce the camera in August.

.

I already have listened the specs in previous post so this is just a reminder if you havn’t read it before:
It will probably have a completely new back-illuminated sensor. This means that High-Iso quality should dramatically improve. And there is more…the sensor is bigger! A 1/1.3 inch LiveMOS is fitted inside the camera. The lens is a Summicron (it starts with f/2.0).

One sources told us the name will be LX4. But we still are trying to get a confirmation. We hope to receive more detailled informations as soon as possible…

.

One personal request to Panasonic…Don’t be shy! Make the camera available soon for everyone ok?

(FT2) Panasonic LX4 to be announced before the compact MFT?

Share

We are going to see both cameras this year, the LX4 and the compact MFT from Panasonic. And now it seems the LX4 is going to be announced first. There is a fair chance that Panasonic will announce the LX4 soon. How soon? Maybe in the next 1-2 weeks!

(FT2) Specs (sent us from a new source):

LX4 uses backside ilumination
LiveMOS 1/1.3 inch
and summicron lens (no interchangeable lens!)

Question: How big is a 1/1.3 inch sensor compares the 1/1.6 inch sensor?
