Today Olympus Japan said the new 12-200mm lens will start shipping out on March 22.
Preorders: 12-200mm lens at GetOlympus and Bhphoto.
One more thing: The German website D-pixx.de just published a test of the new 12-200mm lens.
Panasonic product announcement on April 7….some GH6 info to come?
Panasonic has scheduled a NAB show press event for April 7, 2019 – 1:00pm Las Vegas time. I have no info about possible new product announcements. We might get some new GH5-GH5s firmware updates or a hint about their future GH6 and S1S (Full Frame L-mount) cameras.

Olympus Russia debunks the rumor saying they might stop the camera business
Via Facebook Olympus Russia did debunk ther very speculative rumor posted by Biz-journal.jp saying Olympus to stop their unprofitable camera business.
Friends, more recently, several Russian-speaking resources, citing foreign sources, came up with loud headlines that supposedly, Olympus is closing the photo business. For our part, we want to say that this information is not true. Currently, Olympus is undergoing a comprehensive transformation program to continue its development as a global medical company. The photo business plays an important role as a technology driver for all Olympus business lines, developing advanced digital and network technologies that are also used in our medical and industrial business. We will continue to improve the technology in photography, paying particular attention to our main advantages: compactness of the system, exceptional image stabilization capabilities and high-quality lenses.
