Robin Wong: SAMSUNG & OLYMPUS Partnership – Gamechanging For Smartphone Camera!

Share

Robin Wong:

I have also written an article on this same topic, go to my latest blog entry if you prefer to read: https://robinwong.blogspot.com/2021/0… I have mentioned in my past several videos that 1) Camera manufacturers will have to partner with smartphone companies to survive, 2) Smartphone cameras still suffer serious lag, over-processing of images and hardware limitations, having small image sensor and sub-par quality optics. When I heard the rumor about potential partnership between Samsung and Olympus, it was not that far of a stretch! I thought Samsung could really use Olympus’ help in providing better quality lenses, professional grade image processing engine, and of course, make sure there is no lag at all, including display lag, AF speed and shutter lag! What about Olympus porting over their expertise in 5-Axis Image Stabilization, that could bring Samsung’s flagship smartphone camera to the next level!
