Some more GX80 curiosities…

Panasonic is following a new strategy with the GX80 camera. The camera has different names in different world region and only selected stores do get certain “color” and kit version of the camera:

  1. Laurent sent me the image above and writes: “I was at Yodobashi Camera this morning, and spotted some advertisement for the forthcoming Panasonic camera. It will be called GX7 Mark II here in Japan. No info about the price or exact release date, apart from May 2016.
  2. Karl sent me this: “Sorry for “spamming”, found some more support for the brown color choice for the GX80 (again from Panasonic’s Swedish website):
http://www.panasonic.com/se/consumer/foto-och-videokamera/lumix-g-compact-system-cameras-dslm.html. You can see the different dots representing the choices available next to the body-only, 20/1.7 II and 12-32 kit. That should make it less likely the pictures from my previous link were added by mistake (but you never know). Attached is the screenshots from that link.
  3. In UK the brown version exclusive to John Lewis. All silver versions exclusive to Jessops.
