This is the year we see what OM Digital can or can’t do!

OM Digital was founded in January 2021 and took over the camera business segment from Olympus. All this happened in the midst of a global pandemic so it makes sense that they needed a lot of time to restructure the whole business. But four years into OM Digital now has to finally show us what they are capable of. The development of new cameras and lenses usually takes 2-3 years so 2025 could eb the year where we finally see some of the products that they developed completely independently from Olympus.

One thing that should play in favor of OM Digital is that the camera world is rapidly changing. The younger generation really don’t care if a camera has a certain amount of Megapixel or a certain size of sensor. Usability, design, connectivity and low price do matter more. So I hope that in 2025 we will see finally some new PEN cameras.
